Due Fiori, Four Months In and the Crowd Outside Is Like a Nightclub

No name on the building yet. During the day, the windows are gated, and it looks like the place could be vacant. But come Wednesday at 5 PM, eager customers are lined up outside like it’s an exclusive club. On weekends, they open for lunch—but even then, the mystery stays intact.

Spotlighted on Eater.com earlier this year, the exterior is painted a minty pastel green—a soft nod to the Italian flag. You enter through a bar-like front: clean, elegant, and moody, with a one-page food menu waiting at the counter. Order first, then take a seat.

Walk through the back, and you're not just in a patio—you’re in a little Italian courtyard, reimagined by someone who shops vintage and collects string lights. Ferns hang from above, a dash of pink meets green, and a red hutch in the corner looks like it came from a farmhouse in Tuscany by way of Retro Row.

I went with the Pappardelle al Limone flat, golden ribbons of pasta with a lemon-kissed cream sauce that somehow felt rich and refreshing at the same time. The lemon wasn’t just in the name—you could taste it in every bite. It finished with a snowfall of Parmesan imported from Italy—the real deal, nutty and sharp, not the stuff you shake from a can. Clean, bright, and quietly luxurious.

Behind the scenes is Chef Waldo Stout, a sourdough savant who trained at Bavel and Pizzeria Sei. He’s joined by Daniel Flores and Gianna Johns of Baby Gee fame. Together, they’ve created something quietly special.

The place feels low-key exclusive, like it’s not trying to be found—but everyone’s finding it anyway. Four months in, Due Fiori is already acting like a classic.

📝 A low-key stunner hidden behind a green exterior and gated windows—inside you’ll find mint walls, vintage touches, and lemon-bright pastas topped with imported Italian Parmesan. Their Pappardelle al Limone is quietly luxurious, and the whole place feels like a secret locals already know.

Long Beach Hidden Gems: Gallagher’s on Broadway Is the Irish Pub Locals Never Really Leave

Hidden Happy Hour in Plain Sight…With Lunch Specials and 25th Anniversary Deals, One Visit Won’t Be Your Last

25th Anniversary Special: On the 20th of every month, Gallagher’s rolls out special deals in honor of its 25th year in business. It’s a great time to swing by, snap a photo, and toast to two and a half decades of good food and better company.

In Bluff Heights at 2751 E. Broadway, Gallagher’s Pub & Grill blends classic Irish warmth with the everyday ease of a local hangout. Founded by Ciaran Gallagher, a third-generation restaurateur from Northern Ireland, the pub is steeped in family tradition. Ciaran started bartending as a teen in Derry, moved to California in his early twenties, and after stints in iconic local kitchens, brought his own brand of hospitality to Long Beach.

And for those still lucky enough to live nearby. Gallagher’s is one of the city’s best-kept secrets hiding in plain sight.

What began as a small pub concept in Huntington Beach blossomed into something deeply rooted at the Broadway location. Gallagher’s Long Beach opened as a standalone venture in 2005, becoming a go-to for everything from Sunday football and trivia nights to karaoke and all-you-can-eat fish & chips.

But beyond the events and the shepherd’s pie, there’s something less tangible that keeps people coming back—a sense of belonging. With friendly bartenders, a patio that welcomes pups, and enough Guinness to go around, Gallagher’s is the kind of place where everyone from regulars to returning locals, feels like part of the story.

Whether you're catching a game, singing karaoke, or just stopping in for a pint with an old friend, Gallagher’s isn’t just a bar, it’s a Long Beach memory in the making.

📝 Description: A true neighborhood pub since 2005 with roots in Northern Ireland. Founded by Ciaran Gallagher, it’s where locals catch games, sing karaoke, enjoy shepherd’s pie or a Guinness, and return for that sense of belonging—even years after moving away.
