SteelCraft Long Beach is transforming its vibrant outdoor space into a German-inspired block party on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The beloved community hub will host its annual Oktoberfest celebration, complete with polka bands, stein-holding contests, and wiener dog races—entirely free to enter.
What to Expect at This Year's Oktoberfest
From 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, attendees can enjoy classic Oktoberfest vibes without ever leaving Long Beach. The open-air food hall at 3768 Long Beach Blvd will be buzzing with energy as live polka music kicks off the afternoon. Expect stein-holding competitions that test your endurance, quirky wiener dog races, a themed photo booth, and plenty of family-friendly cheer.
SteelCraft’s mix of culinary vendors—from gourmet burgers to craft coffee—will keep bellies full and thirsts quenched. And for the 21+ crowd, craft beer flows will nod to German traditions with a local twist.
Free, Festive, and for the Community
Unlike other Oktoberfest events that require pricey tickets or cover charges, this one is completely free to attend. Organizers emphasize that the event is open to all ages, aiming to create a welcoming, come-as-you-are atmosphere. No ticket needed—just bring your friends, your dog (yes, it’s pet-friendly), and your best festive spirit.
The celebration will take place in the parking lot this year, giving the event even more room to spread out and accommodate the growing crowd.
A Taste of Germany, Long Beach Style
While this isn't Munich, SteelCraft knows how to throw a good party. The food court’s container-based layout lends itself perfectly to street-fair style events. Guests can meander between bratwurst booths, snap pics in lederhosen-themed cutouts, or cheer on stein lifters during their time-to-beat attempts.
Vendors are expected to offer Oktoberfest-exclusive menu items—so keep an eye out for beer cheese pretzels, schnitzel sliders, and Bavarian desserts.
Local Roots with Global Flavor
Oktoberfest at SteelCraft is just one example of how Long Beach continues to blend global traditions with local charm. In a city known for its diverse neighborhoods and love of outdoor culture, this event serves as a joyful intersection of food, music, and multicultural connection.
Whether you're a first-timer or a returning fan, it's an easy way to step into fall fun—stein in one hand, sausage in the other.
